Mi atrraggono le cose insolite Day 109

I get attracted by unusualities. Forgive the overcooked sepia, I chose it because it makes the best of the highlights on the washing machine. The trolley, by the way, is the type used in Istanbul for anything. Selling fresh orange-pommengranate juice, selling milk, selling veggies, transporting tools, serving as workshop-in-the-open or transporting stuff.

Uploading this with a delay of 3 days, I can also tell you that the washing machine is now gone, on day 112 there was a very nonphotogenic Vespa parked there. Just few hours ago I was reading about the necessity of grabbing the shot when you can. I thought the light was too harsh for this shot but hey, at least I have it. This is one of the pics I took to have as a memory since I'll have to move away one day.

The colours of Emirgan park Day 108

Day 107 I spent walking around Blue mosque area. On this day, 108th of my daily snapping, I went to the heart of the tulip festival the Emirgan park. Fab!!

[funny, the colours here are much different than on my computer or flickr website. Strange!]

Tulip invasion Day 107

Tulip festival opened in Istanbul which means tulips and other spring flowers were planted everywhere. Wonderful!!
Tulips will also invade my stream for a couple of days...

I'm only admiring them in nature. I still haven't bought any. And they're my favourites!!
I should. For joy. AND because they'd be easier to photograph =P

Hmm, let me introduce you to the MAIN Slovenian airport. Day 106

No, not kidding, this is the main one. Closed off at the moment - they're repairing the only runway =P Yes that one, just before the tree line.

Shot through double glass (one is part of the photo, the other one is reflected) due to laziness.

A few years ago we used to walk to the plane. Now the small planes get a bus service and bigger ones get connected to the main building. Such improvement! And of course every time a flight is late and a passenger gets nervous that maybe they'll miss their connection since they'll have only 20 min in between, the whole cabin, including the crew laughs (oh, well, the crew tries not to show it) =D

Actually it's pleasant and well run. Just tiny. Ah, well, like Slovenia itself.

At the end of the day this is a most welcome sight Day 105

soon =D

Spring cleaning in old Istanbul Day 104

I was wondering if the birds were being chased out of the house as well =D
Oh, yes, this is a regular sight in Istanbul.
Quite usual, really.

Snappy snap snap Day 103

Just because I kinda liked it. Took a sec after I parked in school's car park. I like days like this. Mission accomplished. It's no art, but than again...
