Summer evenings street life edition, munching on simits Day 219

Simit is a bread with sesame seeds. Yummy.

In Greece the same thing is called koulouri. My kid after our move from Athens to Istanbul, marched straight to the simitci (simit seller) and requested "Ena koulouri, parakalo" (in Greek). After four years of using this phrase he was shocked that he was not understood =D. By now he learned to say "Bir simit, lütfen" Both phrases mean: "One sesame bread, please"

I completely understand all the 365-ers who took a break... At the moment I'm stubbornly holding on. Agh, it's not easy...

Summery evenings coffee edition Day 217

Hubby's evening ritual. Surprisingly, I don't drink coffee. Interesting learning experience, this edit. I was playing with extended Enhance features (Tint/Black) in Aperture.

The king and his queen lived happily ever after Day 213

PS practice (I do this when bored and convinced I need to learn something new) HDR from one RAW file. Manually in PS (no use of HDR programs, slightly intimidating these seem to me, probably just because I don't know them). Before and after below.

To see the colours properly click on pic.
