I missed this shot, the frame should have been wider but it's actually all I have... Yeah, the guy on the left was escorting the woman on the left. To be truthful, this type of covering (face included) is more Arabic than Turkish. Then again, there were many Turkish covered women there, I just couldn't get a clear shot - since this is on the same street as this shot.

Simplicity Day 225

The ceiling of Roxana/Roxelana's tomb. She was the adored wife of Süleyman the Magnificent... The ceilings (and walls and doors and windows...) of tombs are usually highly decorated. I was very surprised to see this so simple.

Water in motion (and the motion maker) Day 224

Summer evenings: honey figs i.e. I hit the wall edition Day 220

These days I photo-suffer. I hit the wall (or the pit, or the bottom, however you want to call it) on this day - or so I felt.

These ripe figs were being sold at the end of the day next to the Spice market. When the shops close the carts roll out... The wall is just an old wall, colour changed to make it look golden.
